Required Volunteer Training

All volunteers 18 and older are required to complete CMG Connect training annually.  This requirement applies regardless of whether or not you work with children.  Even if you have completed the training in the past, you must retake training each year.  Please read the instructions below. If you have any questions, email or call coordinator Kathy McKinney at (704) 545-1224 ext. 12 or email KathyMcKinney@stlukecatholicminthill.org.

Note:  If you were previously certified using Protecting God's Children (VIRTUS), contact Kathy McKinney.

Faith Formation Catechists Needed

Catechists are needed for all grades of Faith Formation, which begins in the fall.  We provide you with lesson plans, all materials, guidance, and supplemental activities.  And, if you have a child in Faith Formation, you receive a 50% discount on tuition!  If interested, please conact:

Grades 1 - 5:  Kathy McKinney, 704-545-1224, ext. 12
Grades 6 - 8:  Katy De'Ath, 704-545-1224, ext. 13

Usher Coordinator

If you don’t have much time to give, consider being our Usher Coordinator!  Ushers are available to assist parishioners inside the church, ready the church for Mass, and ensure Mass runs smoothly.  If interested, please contact Liturgy@stlukecatholicminthill.org.

Jamaica Mission Trip

Agape is seeking volunteers for a six-night mission trip to Kingston, Jamaica from July 14 through July 21.  Your days will be filled with prayer, meditation, serving the poor in shelters, reflection, and insights.  We'll stay at the Missionaries of the Poor (MOP) monastery.  Guest quarters can accommodate up to 10 volunteers, so space is limited.  A passport is necessary.  The cost is approximately $700 per person.  Learn more about volunteering with MOP at https://tinyurl.com/aboutMOP.  If interested, please email agape@stlukecatholicminthill.org.

HOPE Ministry

The Helping Other People Endure (HOPE) Ministry provides food for funerals, the homebound, and sick.  They visit parishioners in hospitals, nursing homes, and the homebound.  If needed, HOPE also provides transportation to doctor appointments.  New members are always welcome!  For more information, please email HOPE@stlukecatholicminthill.org.
